Back in May, Chuy Arzola’s re-opened in their new location in Midtown at The Coronado Hotel. Now that they’ve had time to get situated, the Arzola family has introduced a variety of new deals to the menu – including implementing their own prix-fixe, the newest budget trend in restaurants, which they’ve entitled the “Tex-Mex 10.”

For just $20, you and your dining companion will receive one appetizer, two entrees, and a dessert to share. While the menu is a limited one, most entrees offered are priced at $8.95, with their classic, The Austin, being the standout on the menu at $9.25. Multiply that by two and you’re already at $18 – $19. Appetizers and desserts will cost you another $6 – $7 each, so choosing from the prix-fixe menu is sure to save you at least ten bucks.

If you want that price tag to get even lower, consider stopping by during their Happy Hour, which runs Monday – Friday from 3:30 – 6:30 pm in the bar area. Drinks are heavily discounted during this time, and you can enjoy $3 House Margaritas, $3 wells, $3 domestic drafts, $2.50 domestic bottles, and their newest addition to the Happy Hour Menu - $1 tacos, plus complimentary toppings bar, with a beverage purchase (probably overkill if you’re planning on going for the prix-fixe).

Chuy’s also offers a daily late night Happy Hour from 9 pm until closing in the bar area, which also includes $3 House Margaritas, $3 domestic drafts, $3 wells and $2.50 domestic bottles – so either come early or come late if you plan on downing a few margaritas!

Daily Drink Specials are also available and are super cheap. On Mondays, enjoy $10 Domestic Buckets & $1 PBRs from 8 pm – Close. On Wednesday, Chuy’s offers $1 House Margaritas and $1 Bud Light and Bud Select Drafts from 8 pm – Close, and Thursdays are “Thirsty Thursdays” with $5 Bud Light and Bud Select Pitcher Deals from 8 pm – Close.

Chuy’s also offers a new coupon each month on its website, and it’s almost always a generous freebie. Unfortunately this can’t be used in conjunction with the prix-fixe but is perfect for those of you who aren’t looking for a three course meal.

Appetizers

Chile Con Queso
cheesy goodness, accented with chopped Chiles, tomatoes, onions and cilantro

Guacamole
made “by hand” with ripe avocados, tomatoes, jalapenos, cilantro and fresh-squeezed lime juice

Entrees

Chile Relleno
roasted poblano Chile stuffed with a mixture of sauteed spinach, mushrooms and a blend of cheeses, smothered in ranchero sauce and more cheese. Served with guacamole, Mexican rice, and ranchero beans.

Chimichanga

House Tacos

The Austin
two crispy chicken burritos, topped with delicious Chile con queso and guacamole. Served with Mexican rice and beans.

Vegetarian Enchiladas
sauteed spinach, mushrooms and onions, topped with cilantro sour cream sauce and Chihuahua cheese. Served with Mexican rice and ranchero beans.
